I am a dual-licensed therapist specializing in mental health and substance use. I work well with clients who are open to exploring creative approaches in their recovery journey.

My focus

My clients tend to be creative overachievers seeking support to make positive changes in their personal and professional lives. I have extensive experience working with clients in the LGBTQ+ community and those who think and live outside the box.

My approach

I specialize in anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and co-occurring disorders using CBT, ACT, and IFS. Tapping into intrinsic motivation is a primary focus as we work collaboratively to identify strengths and set goals. I utilize holistic, eclectic, and creative approaches in therapy.

My communication style

I use a collaborative approach and encourage open communication and mutual feedback. My clients set their ultimate goals and determine the level of engagement they prefer in and out of sessions. I encourage between-session work and tailor expectations to meet your needs.

My journey to mental healthcare

I spent many years running a marketing company before returning to school after struggling to find purpose in my work. My priorities shifted as I approached midlife. It started as a passion to support people in recovery and evolved into a focus on mental health and creativity.

Goal setting is a cooperative process that focuses on exploring and identifying core values as the foundation. Core values are the cornerstone of most of the work I do and help inform the approach to goal setting.

The first session sets the tone for our therapeutic relationship, so it tends to be a mutual informational gathering process. I focus on gaining a better understanding of your history, current challenges, and preferences for future work.
