My name is Yevgeniy (Eugene) Slutskiy and I am a Mental Health Therapist in the following states: Arizona, Colorado, Minnesota, Nevada and Utah. I have been in the mental health field for 20 years. I am passionate about helping people overcome their mental health concerns.

My approach

I primarily practice from a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach & Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) approach and I also utilize mindfulness practices. Additionally, I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy.

My journey to mental healthcare

I was strongly influenced to become a therapist through my work in community mental health. Also I was influenced to become a therapist through a mentor who was a Captain in the US Army in the Vietnam War and who later became a therapist.

My goals for you

In most cases, I help you set goals for treatment which you can effectuate within six months to a year. I strongly believe in self-determination and self-efficacy and practice from that perspective.

Our first session is an evaluative 'get to know you' session, where we complete an in-depth review of your bio-psycho-social history and treatment goals.
