Entering therapy can be one of the most challenging decisions you can make. I provide a caring and supportive environment, allowing you to lead therapy in the direction you want. I genuinely care for others and bring warmth to our work together.

My focus

I work with adults facing depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, relationship issues, self-esteem struggles, chemical abuse, addictions, and grief. I believe in your uniqueness and autonomy, assisting you to harness your personal power to overcome life's trials and tribulations.

My approach

I rely heavily on cognitive behavioral, narrative, and solution-focused therapy. Many times, people find themselves stuck in a negative mindset or negative story about their lives. When we change our thinking patterns and change the story, we often find hidden values and courage to make our lives better.

My communication style

My focus is a warm and empathetic communication style using motivational interview techniques, being confrontational at times when needed in a therapeutic capacity. Therapy is non-judgmental. You can expect a supportive space where you feel heard and understood.

My journey to mental healthcare

I'm a retired dairy farmer who went back to school because I was dissatisfied with what I was doing. I've been in recovery, and I've traversed many of life's trials, succeeding at some and failing at others. Regardless of what happens, one must move forward because it's the only direction we have.

My goals for you

At the beginning of every session, we discuss what has worked or did not work towards the achievements of your goals. Through a collaborative effort, we plan and adjust treatment modalities tailored for you. Therapy is a flowing relationship from start to finish.
