Given the current stressors of the world, sometimes even the smallest task can seem overwhelming. I'm here to help you in a way that is best for you.

My focus

I work with adult clients who are managing life transitions, career management, and family conflict. Most clients I work with are struggling with issues of depression, anxiety, interpersonal conflict, trauma, grief, bereavement, postpartum issues, LGBTQIA+ support, and caretaking of an older relative.

My approach

I am eclectic in my approach, so I will find the right approach that works best for you. I adhere strictly to confidentiality in a non-judgmental manner. I am primarily Client-Centered, and I also work with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. For couples counseling, I prefer to use the Gottman Method.

My communication style

I offer support in a non-judgmental way. I strive to listen with empathy and support and then assist you in finding the right intervention that you feel is what works for you. My goal is that you will feel comfortable with yourself and feel you have been understood.

My journey to mental healthcare

I was actually a photo-journalist and after working for a few years realized I wanted to work closer with people. What drives me to this work is knowing we all go through difficult times, but with support and tools, we can come through them with more insight and knowledge about who we are.

My goals for you

When it comes to goal setting with clients, I tend to be flexible. Usually, I will help you identify the goals you want. I will check in with you each session, and if a goal needs to be adjusted, we can do that. I've often found that some people feel goals can be intimidating, but I'm here to help you with positive, achievable goals.

Our first session will be about getting to know each other. I will be asking questions about your history, such as how long you have had symptoms, medical issues, and medications.
