My communication style

Open and honest communication allows us to build a trusting therapeutic relationship. I strive to provide an emotionally safe space by actively listening and providing support and feedback as needed. This is a nonjudgmental and supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey into the mental health field started as a middle school student. My principal told me that I was better than the person I was presenting myself as. I keep that statement in my heart as I now work as a middle school social worker. I became the mentor I wish I had as an adolescent.

My goals for you

As a clinician, I empower people to lead their treatment. I will remind you that you are the expert of your life, and I am here to support your desired goals and growth. This relationship and trust will be built over time with open communication, empowerment, accountability, and support. I like to use the analogy of a bike.

Our first session

Our first session will be us getting to know each other. I will share some information about me and allow you to explain why you think we are together and how I can best support you. The next few sessions will be us working together to discuss your goals and the plan to accomplish them.
