Hi there, I'm Allison!

Thank you for visiting my profile and for considering therapy. Sometimes life’s seasons can be painful and overwhelming, and my goal as a therapist is to walk alongside you in these times and to help you emerge with a stronger and wiser perspective.

My focus

I specifically work with ADHD and OCD, as well as mood and anxiety disorders. I seek to help clients understand how their past and present circumstances interplay with their symptoms and to put in place concrete coping skills to improve their lives. At times, grief and transition management skills are also incorporated.

My approach

My style of work is solution-focused, behavioral, and positive psychology driven, but I also incorporate spiritual and faith-based techniques if requested.

My journey to mental healthcare

I have always been drawn to helping people and helping them solve the problems in their lives. If there is a skill I can teach or an idea to unlock an understanding, it is a central goal. Watching someone rewrite their narrative for better and healthier story is what I have always sought as a provider.

My goals for you

Treatment planning should be a collaboration between the therapist and client, with options for remodification as needed. It is important to get a thorough understanding of the client's problem history and symptoms first. I encourage weekly tracking of symptoms to measure progress and improvement with a reevaluation in sessions.

Our first session

At our first meeting, I will seek to get some history and information to begin to analyze how we will move forward. You will receive some testing for the week ahead so we can track symptoms right away. Therapy can be overwhelming, so you will have control in setting the pace.
