Hi there, I'm Crystal!

I believe that every person has a story that deserves to be shared and heard. Because of this belief and curiosity, my ultimate goal in life is to meet everyone on the planet. I know; it is very unrealistic. I try each day to meet this goal by being intentional with my patients and offering a safe, secure place for them to share their stories.

My focus

Feeling more depressed or anxious than usual? Dealing with trauma? How about that argument with your family or loved one? You have so much on your plate, between family, work, and attempting to have some kind of social life, that you have forgotten YOU. I am ready when you are. I am here to listen and support you on your journey.

My approach

I am a Person-Centered therapist; that is my foundation (my fruitbowl). However, depending on a patient's need, other techniques and tools (the fruit in the bowl) may be used to support their development and success. I often use techniques from CBT, DBT, and Reality Therapy in session.

My communication style

I am honest, kind, and supportive. As a Person-Centered Therapist, I offer a supportive, non-judgmental, and empathic environment that allows each patient to learn about themselves, explore their needs, develop healthy coping and calming skills, and make realistic and lasting changes in their lives. I also use humor, so there's that.

My journey to mental healthcare

I initially became a therapist to help people like my brother, who was diagnosed with Bipolar 1 as a child. As I got into the field, I began to understand that the care he received and the support my needed was not enough. This understanding guides me to be present with each patient and family, supporting, advocating, and hearing their stories.

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and for you to ask any questions you may have. I will ask what brings you to therapy and what has (or hasn't) worked to improve your life. I will be here to help, support, and listen. I ask that you meet me halfway.
