Much of my background includes community mental health and school-based counseling services to teens for various concerns, including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, coping with substance abuse within the family, school avoidance, self-esteem, suicidality, and self-harm behaviors.

I treat PTSD, depression, anxiety, and processing grief in teens and adults.

My approach

I utilize a strengths-based approach to develop client-centered goals that implement evidence-based practices of CBT or CPT based on the client's specific needs.

My communication style

I strive to create a safe space where clients can be their authentic selves. Once trust is formed, clients learn to increase self-awareness and develop skills to use outside of session. I believe in the power of vulnerability to make meaningful connections, find acceptance, and hope for change.

My journey to mental healthcare

I transitioned into private practice to focus on trauma processing with adults and teens, building on my foundation in community mental health and school-based counseling.
