My communication style

I work with my clients and present them with questions and scenarios to help them be active participants in their own therapy. I am warm and nurturing with a no-nonsense approach to helping clients heal.

My journey to mental healthcare

I have experience as a school counselor and director of counseling for a school district. I started a private practice and currently work with children, adolescents, and their families. I have experience as a college professor of counseling.

My goals for you

In the initial session, I ask my clients to help set therapy goals by determining what they feel is their priority.

Our first session

During the first session, I have the clients indicate to me what their presenting issue is. I also ask them to do a historical timeline to determine important events in their lives that influenced their thoughts and behaviors.
