Taking a step into therapy can be a very scary task, but just like going to our primary care physician when something is bothering us physically, when something is bothering us mentally, we should talk about it. I'm focused on meeting individuals where they are at and navigating through different life transitions.
My focus
I work with adults struggling with depression, anxiety, life transitions, and trauma. Different situations affect people in different ways; each person's view is unique and their own. I focus on battling the "just get over it" mentality because with that thought, we hold stress somewhere in our bodies.
My approach
I primarily use Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy to address problematic thought patterns and give you tools to have more control over your emotions and thoughts. Depending on what struggles you identify, I pull from other approaches to help you make progress and achieve your goals.
