Hi there, I'm Tanay!

I am a Queens, NY native and proud HBCU grad who enjoys connecting with clients and helping them become the best version of themselves. I work mostly with clients who struggle with depression, trauma, and anxiety. I have been practicing for over a decade and have worked in clinics in South Jamaica, Queens, and East Harlem.

My focus

I mostly work with adults who struggle with depression, anxiety, and trauma. Together, we can help rebuild your self-esteem, learn new coping skills, improve your inner dialogue, and get down to the root of the problems you are having.

My approach

I create a warm, welcoming, and safe space for clients. It's important that clients walk away from sessions feeling empowered and with the confidence to practice new skills.

My communication style is direct, challenging, non-judgmental, and empathetic.

My journey to mental healthcare

At the beginning of my career, I worked primarily with children because I wanted to be the listening ear that I never had as a child. I then began working with adults, primarily Black women and people of color, who struggled with depression, trauma, anxiety, domestic violence, and a host of other issues.

My goals for you

In order to help clients meet their goals, we will build a strong therapeutic alliance. Building rapport and establishing the therapeutic relationship will be the catalyst for diving deeper into what you're struggling with, whether it's trauma, depression, self-esteem issues, or anxiety.

Our first session

During our first session, we will go over the intake process, dive into what brings you to therapy, and discuss your background history. I also encourage clients to ask questions!
