My journey to mental healthcare

I wanted to become a therapist to help people work through and solve problems in their lives. I want to be a soft place to fall, so that people feel valued, nurtured, and encouraged.

It is critical to create goals in therapy. I use a collaborative approach to create treatment goals.

Our first session

During the first session, I will complete a biopsychosocial assessment. I will learn more about the presenting issue(s), medical history, social environment, and strengths. We will also create a treatment plan.
