My approach

My approach is collaborative and respectful. I meet you where you are and honor the unique story you bring into the room. I do not have one singular approach, as I believe humans are complex and sometimes need complex treatment. However, I tend to focus on narrative and other humanistic approaches.

My communication style

I believe in clear, open, and honest communication. I am not here to judge you or your life; I am here to listen and help you figure out where in your story you are stuck and how you may have gotten to this point. Some of the techniques I utilize are: active listening, reframing, and summarizing.

My journey to mental healthcare

My story in therapy began with my own curious nature of why people behave the way they do and what in their story brought them to this point of being that way. I believe with clarity and insight, there is a way for change to take hold. I'm continuously learning and driven by the need to understand problems.

My goals for you

The goals you want to achieve in therapy are your own chapters, and you are in control of the chapters you write. Once they no longer serve you or you begin evolving past the original conflicts, you may begin new chapters, as you are in control of what happens in the therapy room.

Our first session

During your first session, we will go over informed consent and other housekeeping things before getting into what brought you to therapy and what part of your story you want to share with me. We must build trust and rapport to begin exploring the problems that are no longer serving your story.
