Hi there, I'm Barbara!

I’m glad you’re here. Starting counseling is a big step, and I want you to know this is a safe space for you. Counseling is a place where you can grow, learn more about yourself, and feel supported along the way. I’ve been working with adolescents, adults, families, and couples for over 12 years, and I’m looking forward to walking alongside you.

My focus

I strive to create an atmosphere where clients feel safe to explore their inner strengths and challenges in order to achieve meaningful growth. I support clients in working through issues that may be causing difficulty in their lives, such as low self-esteem, lack of confidence, or patterns of maladaptive behavior.

My approach

My approach to counseling is rooted in Cognitive Therapy, which means we will work together to identify how your thoughts and beliefs influence your feelings and behaviors. I also incorporate Reality Therapy, which focuses on addressing present concerns. I draw from a variety of person-centered and client-focused approaches.
