My communication style

I perceive myself much like a teacher, giving clients a language and a construct to identify and express their perceptions and associated emotions. Sessions with me tend to be rather candid, being focused on the reason(s) we are working together.

My journey to mental healthcare

My interest in becoming a therapist was developed in my undergraduate studies, where I enjoyed learning the process of development and socialization. After working with a multidisciplinary team and seeing the progress people achieved while working in therapy, I knew that was the path I wanted to pursue.

My goals for you

I believe it is important to develop a therapeutic rapport with people through a collaborative process of joining and establishing trust. I like to develop goals with clients early in the process, and have found that more often than not, the original goals are modified over time as individuals develop insight and perspective.

Our first session

In our first session, we'll focus on getting to know each other and understanding what brings you to therapy. I'll ask about your concerns, your goals, and what you hope to achieve. Together, we'll begin to outline a collaborative treatment plan that feels right for you.
