Hi there, I'm Elaine!
I'm a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and a Master Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I'm very eclectic, but work with ages 12-80, specializing in CBT, EMDR, OCD, and Anger Management.
My focus
During our initial meeting, I tend to focus on where you may be experiencing stress, fear, anger, etc. This allows our energy to connect and, what I believe, to be the best approach for you, the client. Once we're both comfortable with each other, I will introduce different protocol/s that might best fit your reason for coming to therapy.
My approach
I like to begin by getting to know each other in order to develop a mutually good fit. I appreciate your experience of meeting me, to include if the goals I've cited align with the goals that you bring to therapy. I utilize a mix of many therapeutic approaches to include EMDR, CBT, Anger Management, Depression, and Positive Psychology.
