My communication style

I tend the be "very down to earth" and respectful. I usually acknowledge that I'm hearing what you're stating, which may allow a back and forth communication to establish our future work together. I usually reiterate what I'm hearing and seeing from you in order to correctly identify you goal/s for therapy.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey began with my own recovery from substance use and mental health challenges. I was able to relate deeply to clients through my experiences, which led me to pursue formal training. My personal path informs my belief that recovery is possible and that I can guide others toward healing.

My goals for you

In order to establish mutually agreed initial goals, I emphasize that we are working toward your goals, which means getting comfortable with each other and gaining trust. I truly believe that this is your therapy, and I'm just the guide for your goals.

Our first session

During the first session, I recognize that we are just meeting for the first time and will do my best to assist you in being comfortable. I will explain about needing to complete a Bio/Psycho/Social in order for me, as your therapist, to better understand how your lifetime history may have impacted you.
