Hi there, I'm Janet!

I am a mindfulness based cognitive behavioral therapist with over twenty years in practice. I approach therapy in a brief, solution focused manner--if we are not making some progress in a couple sessions, perhaps we are not a great fit and that is OK. I am direct, honest and provide some humor.

My focus

My client focus is varied. I enjoy a challenge and I appreciate diversity in my practice. That being said, I do have a significant amount of experience in treating dual diagnosis individuals (substance use and mental health) and trauma. I practice meeting folks where they are at as the first step to any successful transformational process.

My approach

I focus the work of therapy on the treatment plan (your goals), and actively involve the client in that process. Every session you can expect to start off with a quick recap from the last session, and a follow up on any assigned tasks, and then prompting to figure out where you want to focus on for that session.
