My communication style

My communication style is determined by you—I'm willing to be as direct or indirect as you prefer. I'm laid back with a casual conversation style, while being comfortable with the speed, topics, and direction you want to take. There's nothing you can say that will scare or bother me, and I'm willing to sit with you in your story.

My journey to mental healthcare

My desire to help people stems from my own personal experience. I have a passion for helping others and have recognized the difficulty of the system firsthand. My hope is that you won't feel alone as we become teammates in this process.

My goals for you

We'll establish concrete, measurable, and realistic goals together. I'll pull in tools, various modalities, and homework when appropriate to help you reach them. I'm patient and here alongside you. You won't be pushed to do anything you're not ready for, and if you need extra time, we'll take it.

Our first session

Our first session may feel a little awkward—that's completely normal—but the tension will ease as we get to know each other. We'll focus on what brought you here, what you're looking to gain from therapy, and how I can best support you. It can feel like an interview, but I'll work hard to make it conversational.
