My communication style

My priorities include open communication to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment for the whole person. I practice active listening and will give you opportunities to reflect on your experiences with me as an empathetic partner. If we’re working through something challenging, you can expect me to be calm, unconditional, and patient.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey began as an RN in the military, specializing in mental health and aging/dementia. It was a natural transition to take my nursing background and expand my practice to be able to provide additional knowledge and skills to my clients.

Our first session

Our first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and discuss your story and what brings you to therapy. I'm a calming presence, as it’s normal to feel nervous—therapy is a process we’ll build together over time. We’ll move at your pace, one step at a time, and I’ll be here to guide you throughout. I won't force you to share.
