My work tends to draw people who are exhausted by living in a mind that will not let them rest. OCD. Perfectionism. PTSD. Anxiety that keeps looping, sharpening, anticipating. Phobias that start to organize a life around avoidance.
My focus
My focus is on helping someone notice the pattern they are inside while also discovering that they are not identical to it. The compulsive loop is not the whole self. The trauma response or perfectionism is not the whole self. There is usually more room than it first appears: more choice, more flexibility, more capacity for change.
My approach
The way I practice is grounded, active, and evidence-based. For OCD, phobias, and perfectionism, I use Exposure and Response Prevention and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. For complex PTSD, I draw from Cognitive Processing Therapy, EMDR, Brainspotting, and the Flash Technique.
