My approach

My approach varies based on your unique needs. I help clients address challenges of life transitions and social pressures that often show up as anxiety, depression, stress, and adjustment difficulties. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychotherapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy to encourage and challenge you to overcome obstacles.

My communication style

I create a calming and welcoming environment. My communication style is empathetic, actively listening, and personable. I want you to feel comfortable talking with me about anything, and I encourage you to advocate for yourself throughout your therapeutic experience.

My journey to mental healthcare

I became a therapist because I wanted to understand addiction and mental health more deeply. I witnessed individuals affected by substance use and untreated mental health diagnoses and wanted to be a catalyst for change. I wanted to help others feel supported, heard, and cared for as they transform into happier versions of themselves.

My goals for you

My approach to goal setting is collaborative. We work together to define your treatment goals, starting by building rapport and trust and discussing your therapeutic expectations. I understand this process can feel overwhelming or bring up uncomfortable emotions, but I'm here to provide and maintain a space of positivity, growth, and healing.

In our first session, we'll spend most of our time talking about why you're seeking treatment and creating your treatment plan together. The first session is about building rapport to foster a trusting and beneficial relationship.
