Hi there, I'm Brandye!

I work with clients facing depression, anxiety, negative self-image, and communication challenges. I enjoy the therapeutic process and helping clients find better ways to manage their struggles in life.

My focus

I feel a calling to kids, teens, and young adults struggling with depression, anxiety, and emotional regulation. I also work with families having difficulties within their family unit, parents needing skills to better engage with their children, and those with low self-esteem who want to gain confidence and move forward.

My approach

I focus on a systemic approach, looking at the interactional sequences of relationships and life. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, narrative therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy to help clients create meaningful change.

My communication style

I think of therapy as a conversational exchange and work to create a positive therapeutic relationship while exploring treatment options. Empathetic and non-judgmental, I am committed to providing an accessible and inclusive environment.

My journey to mental healthcare

Growing up, people seemed to want to speak to me and share what they were going through. As time went on, I found myself thinking the therapy field would be an interesting way to go. I decided to pursue my degree in therapy, and I have not looked back.

I work from a collaborative approach to find what will work best during our time together. I first like to build rapport and create a comfortable, non-judgmental, and trusting environment. Together, we will work on goals to better assist you and measure progress.

Our first session

During the first sessions, I will ask how you are feeling and what challenges you are facing. I offer a calm and inviting environment as I appreciate you sharing with me and understand the difficulties and possible apprehension of seeking therapy. Every individual is different, so I listen and observe to plan what direction to pursue.
