Hi! I'm Dr. Jennifer Kiser, MFT. I have been a therapist for over 25 years, and I specialize in treating various types of anxiety and depression, as well as helping parents and kids have better relationships. I work with adults, families, and children to build stronger connections and healthier patterns.

My focus

I enjoy working with adults, families, and children. Whether you struggle with anger, communication difficulties, anxiety, depression, relationship problems, or stress from sudden changes, my style of helping you look at how you think, behave, and feel can be adapted to create the change you want to see.

My approach

I listen to the specific needs of each client. My goal is to help people think, feel, and behave in ways that make them more successful. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, an evidence-based approach to help people create changes that last.

My communication style

My communication style is calm, non-judgmental, and open, with a dose of humor when appropriate. I want sessions to be helpful and comfortable, and for you to leave feeling optimistic for the future and to have things to think about or try doing differently that we can discuss next time.

My goals for you

I believe goals in therapy come from you, but I will help create them if you're not sure how to put them into words. I want to hear how you would like things to be different, and together we can develop milestones to get you there. We will revisit these goals from time to time to make sure we are on track.

Our first session

In our first session, we will talk about how you've been feeling recently and what is going on in your life that you are thinking about changing. I will be asking questions to get to know you, and you will get a sense of my style as a therapist and decide if you want to work with me.
