I worked for many years in hospital inpatient psychiatric units and provided outpatient therapy. My specialties are anxiety, depression, substance abuse, sex addiction, child welfare/custody, cultural stress, domestic violence, transitions, and aging. I help my clients process their issues in a supportive, safe environment.

I practice an Eclectic approach and have found that with certain modalities, clients experience improvement within a relatively short period of time. I have also found that clients fare better when they set their own goals as opposed to following the goals of a therapist.

I discovered social work through my sister's chronic childhood illness. The hospital social worker who worked with my sister and family showed me the compassion needed in caring for families facing unanticipated difficulties. As a child, I knew I wanted to help others process difficult life experiences.
