I utilize a Cognitive-Based Therapeutic approach to help clients develop a strong ego, strengthening the individual to overcome negative patterns of behavior of behaving, and deal with the associated social and familial problems. I help clients improve their mental health.

My focus

I have spent forty years helping clients with eating disorders, including their long-term sobriety and maintenance. w am totally engaged working with these individuals. I enjoy working with 30-year-olds and older, utilizing both short-term and long-term therapies. I get a lot of satisfaction dealing with these clients.

My communication style

I'm interactive with my clients, helping them communicate negative and difficult emotions. Unfortunate times in life require patience and support. I am a good listener; clients know that I am present in the room with them.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey to mental health started when I was very young. I was always approached by other kids to help when they were struggling emotionally. This continued into high school/, where my friends and their boyfriends would call me when they were having problems.I am still getting those types of calls today!

My goals for you

My goals for clients are to clearly understand the behavioral patterns that they desire to change. Next would be to modify the unhealthy behaviors into a healthy pattern of behavior/that would align with counseling. I desire to provide a caring, comfortable, and trusting therapeutic environment.
