Hi there, I'm Kelly!

I am a well-rounded therapist who utilizes therapeutic techniques to help you build emotional muscles that allow you to grow, build resiliency, heal past wounds, and strengthen relationships.

My focus

I specialize in helping individuals with eating disorders, self-harm, suicidal ideation, substance use, anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, dissociative disorders, and other issues connected to trauma. My goal is to help you heal wounds and create resiliency and growth in all areas of your life.

My approach

I use CBT, DBT, Internal Family Systems, somatic therapy, trauma-informed stabilization treatment, and expressive therapies to increase mindfulness around your thoughts, feelings, and sensations. Together, we will build skills to strengthen relationships, build confidence, and increase compassion and creativity.

My communication style

My communication style focuses on providing psycho-education around how behaviors are defenses connected to patterns of attachment and childhood. I aim to increase your mindfulness of how your thoughts, feelings, and sensations are impacting the roles you play in life and your behaviors.

My journey to mental healthcare

I pursued a career in mental healthcare as a trauma-certified therapist with a specialization in eating disorders as well as disorders connected to trauma. From August 2013 to November 2015, I completed my clinical hours for licensure at St. Vincent's Hospital in Harrison, NY.

In our first session, we will discuss what brings you to therapy and begin building a strong therapeutic relationship. I will seek to understand your background, current challenges, and goals for therapy. We will collaboratively develop a treatment plan tailored to your unique needs.
