Hi there, I'm Leeann!

I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with Diagnostic Privilege in New York State. I work with individual adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, anger, interpersonal issues, life transitions, grief, and other life challenges.

My focus

My primary focus is on individual adults who struggle with a variety of challenges, from anxiety and depression to transitional periods in life, grief, and views of the self.

My approach

I use an eclectic approach that includes CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Person Centered, and Insight Oriented to identify patterns and beliefs, see where they originated from, and find ways to move forward at your own speed.

My communication style

I create a warm environment where one will not be judged. I’m also a curious therapist and ask questions to get a better understanding of what your world is like. I’m also not afraid to challenge because therapy is the space to face uncomfortable situations and find the way to the other side, where one is no longer uncomfortable.

My journey to mental healthcare

After working in the mental health field in various positions, which include research, case management, and housing for almost 24 years, I wanted to focus on providing therapy services, as I feel these experiences help me in treating an individual in a holistic way.
