My communication style

I create an atmosphere of respect for strengths and a focus on building upon those strengths. I seek to normalize psychological stress and promote well-being, acceptance, creation, and progress toward goals. Your voice is the most important voice in our therapeutic sessions.

My journey to mental healthcare

I worked as a classroom teacher, then attended graduate school because I wanted to offer more services to children and their families. I later engaged in additional training to broaden my knowledge, particularly in terms of mindfulness and a focus on meaningful behavioral change and increased well-being.

My goals for you

I identify environmental factors that both impede and support the goals. Goals that will be supported in the existing environment are created and measured with both maintenance and generalization programmed in a cooperative style.

Our first session

A description of the limits of confidentiality, and primarily learning about the client's past experience with therapy and his/her expectations of therapy. Finally, a discussion of the client's goals of therapy.
