Hi there, I'm Stefania!

Having worked in various settings including in-home, school-based and outpatient, I know therapy is never a “one size fits all” approach. I meet clients where they are, and that starts with a building a strong therapeutic rapport and showing up empathically and authentically.

My focus

I join with clients in helping them set and achieve their goals around symptom reduction, increased self-esteem and confidence, and overall social and emotional growth. I know progress is not linear and I work with clients through that path to wellness.

My approach

Although I may pull from many different evidence based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy, solution focused therapy and client centered therapy, I don't consider myself a specialist in any one area as i think therapy should be tailored to the individual.

My communication style

I prioritize clear, open communication to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment. I practice active listening and will give you opportunities to reflect on your experiences with you as an empathetic partner. If we’re working through something challenging, you can expect me to be calm and patient.

My journey to mental healthcare

I have always seen myself as a helper and I've always been interested in helping other achieve their goals and become the best versions of themselves. I've always been interested in human behavior and personal growth, our ability to create change in behaviors and negative thought patterns to improve our overall wellbeing.

A treatment plan is living document, as such we will work to create small, attainable goals and we will review them often to align with what is most meaningful and important to you at this time. We will remain focused on moving towards where you want to be.

Our first session

The therapeutic relationship is most important to me. I want to make sure that clients feel like I am good fit for them. The first session is all about building a strong foundation to help clients feel safe and supported.
