I moved to the US at nine without knowing the language and struggled to connect with others, leading to depression. In my culture and family, depression 'doesn't exist,' which left me feeling isolated. After overcoming that depressive state, I dedicated myself to helping others in similar situations.
My focus
The clients that I typically work with are adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, personal growth, self-esteem, relationships, and LGBTQIA+.
My approach
It's important to me that clients feel safe, understood, and heard. Session modality is based on what the client struggles with. For childhood trauma, I might use a psychodynamic approach focusing on roots of emotional suffering. For anxiety, I might use CBT techniques and assign homework.
