My communication style

I like to keep regular communication with my clients. I enjoy having clear, open, and honest communication. I think building a healthy rapport with one another is a critical piece of effective therapy. I believe you are the expert of your life, and are here to tell me your needs.

My journey to mental healthcare

I began my journey in mental health 15 years ago, working as a case manager and a psycho-social rehab specialist, and primarily worked with children and families. I eventually got my master's degree in social work and began my journey as a therapist, working with a variety of populations, offering individual, group, and couples services.

My goals for you

Again, you are the expert of your life. But I will create some assessment time to discuss symptoms, environmental issues, family and relationship dynamics, and various other discussion points, to help me gather and understand the goals you have for your treatment. I will collaborate with you in identifying goals and objectives for us to work on.

Our first session

During our first session, I will do an introductory discussion. I want to get a good understanding of who you are. Not just the issues at hand. I believe that building a strong rapport is a critical part of therapy, and helps form a great therapeutic relationship. I will ask a variety of questions related to current symptoms, previous diagnosis.
