My communication style

I practice in a non-judgmental environment and use a direct communication style so you never feel like I'm beating around the bush. My belief is that the client is the expert on themselves, so I utilize active listening and empathy to build a good therapeutic relationship and rapport, so you feel safe to tell me your story.

My journey to mental healthcare

I worked with adults with intellectual disabilities and children in foster care, and I learned so much about the human condition and how I can help others live the lives they want. I strive to continue in this profession because of my desire to help others and be someone they can count on to grow and thrive.

My goals for you

Therapy is a collaboration and a team effort. Together, we will create individualized goals for your treatment plan, such as identifying triggers or practicing mindfulness techniques to decrease anxious moods. As we work together and you make progress, therapy and treatment plans are flexible and can change as your needs change.

Our first session

In our getting to know you session, I will learn all about you, your background, and why you wanted to start therapy. I'll also tell you my process and a little about me. Relationship building is key to therapy and starts from day one. If you feel nervous or anxious, that's normal. I won't rush you, and you can take it slow.
