Hi there, I'm Teresa!

I am an LPC and the proud owner of my private practice called You Belong LLC. I always say I am human first, therapist second. I feel like healing is best done with someone who is caring, authentic, and true. Think of me as your emotional co-pilot, helping you navigate whatever twists and turns life throws your way!

My focus

I can help with a multitude of things, some examples are: anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, relationship issues, life transitions, and even general overwhelm (It's a thing!)

My approach

Life can be chaotic, terrifying, lonely, exciting and sometimes you just don't know what you are feeling! Sometimes we need someone to help us untangle the mess. I am here to help you sort through life with a little humor and a lot of empathy. My approach is genuine, collaborative, and tailored to you. Therapy doesn't always have to be serious.

My communication style

My communication style is playful, kind, and collaborative. I try to create a safe environment where you can open up about whatever and feel comfortable in sessions. As I said earlier, I am human first, therapist second. I genuinely care for my clients and want nothing but the best for them!

My journey to mental healthcare

At first, I thought I wanted to be a doctor (HAHA, joke's on me!). I was going to school and felt like it was not fulfilling. I took a look back on my life and realized I wouldn't be where I am if people hadn't stepped in and been the light in my dark. I promised myself then that I would hold the light for others until they could do it themselves.

My goals for you

I am here to help you see things from different perspectives, challenge you, hold space for you and make you feel supported every step of the way. You deserve to feel like you can take up space and like you belong.

Our first session

I am all about making sure the "vibes" are right in session. I check in with clients and make sure they did, in fact, feel comfortable with what they experienced. I let my clients lead the way because first sessions can be uncomfortable. Whether it's telling me your entire life story or starting off with specific questions. I will try to help you!
