Hi there, I'm Daniel!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who wants to provide my services for clients who are looking for a therapist who doesn't just say "how did that feel?" As an AuDHD (Autistic & ADHD) person, I understand firsthand that neurodivergent individuals often need a different approach for therapy to be successful.

My focus

I work well with curious clients who appreciate an honest and collaborative approach. I am particularly interested in utilizing my skills to help Autistic and ADHD people build lives that work better for them.

I utilize a client-centered, eclectic approach to therapy, with a strong emphasis on building rapport and the therapeutic relationship. I strive for authenticity and honesty in my work with clients.

My communication style

I would describe my communication style as friendly and direct. My own neurodivergence does impact my communication style, which can be helpful when communicating with neurodivergent clients.

My journey to mental healthcare

I worked for several years as a support staff for students with Individualized Education Plans, before getting my Master's Degree in Music Therapy and Mental Health Counseling. I have been working for several years as an LPC at an Intensive Outpatient Program in Portland, OR.

In collaborating with clients on goal setting, we will focus mostly on simple (but unfortunately, not always easy) actions you can take to live more consistently with your values.
