I support adults navigating life transitions, mood challenges, and attention concerns. My work is grounded in understanding how early experiences shape present functioning, and I tailor interventions to each person's needs.

My focus

I enjoy working with clients facing life challenges throughout their adult years. I also work with clients struggling with ADHD who make dramatic changes when diagnosed and treated successfully. I'm interested in supporting those with Bipolar, Depression, and Anxiety.

My approach

My foundation is psychoanalytic, drawing on how early life experiences affect present functioning. While this approach suits some concerns like Depression, I select behavioral programs for disorders like OCD, featuring exposure to the avoided object.

My communication style

Since talking promotes the proliferation of neurons in the brain and strengthens it, I encourage you to do most of the talking during our sessions.

My journey to mental healthcare

I had been curious about the workings of our thoughts and feelings. A colleague recommended further training, and I took to the readings like chocolate cake. Now working in the field, I find great gratification in my relationships with my patients.

My goals for you

Throughout treatment, clients complete questionnaires regarding items that may be troubling them. As we share the information revealed in these answers, we prioritize together the issues that most need addressing.

Our first session

I'll ask what brought you to therapy. Questionnaires help formulate a diagnosis more definitively, and I welcome any questions you have. We may set aside an additional session to complete the initial evaluation before deciding whether to undertake therapy together.
