My communication style

I create a relaxing environment where you can talk about anything without feeling judged. Even though I focus on medication management, I always ask how you're doing personally. I notice symptoms often stem from situational stressors.

My journey to mental healthcare

I've always wanted to work in healthcare. After nursing school, my first job was in psychiatry and I loved it so much that I specialized in it. I can't see myself doing anything other than helping others with their mental health care.

My goals for you

During the initial evaluation, I ask what you need or want help with. Depending on your concerns—depression, anger, anxiety, mood fluctuations—I tailor goals to what matters to you. I like to set goals together, not just for you.

Our first session

Expect a get-to-know-you session where I gather your history, including social, medical, family, and allergies. We'll discuss a plan, talk about medications and side effects, and make sure you understand what to expect. We'll schedule follow-up, usually in one month.
