Hi there, I'm Janie!

I work with adolescents and adults with an array of issues, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and mood disorders, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy along with an eclectic approach to other modalities.

My style and approach have been a good fit for teens, young adults, and older adults. Those who are dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, parenting issues, marital issues, self-esteem, Autism, PTSD, relationship issues, LGBTQ, and life transitional issues.

My approach

My approach to therapy varies based on the needs of each individual. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is my primary approach, allowing me to identify strengths in every person and build on their experiences with new skills and techniques to overcome obstacles. I provide support and education with empathy and kindness in a relaxed atmosphere.

I want my clients to feel comfortable talking with me about anything, and I pride myself on my ability to listen without judgment. Unconditional Positive Regard! We all want a space where we can speak freely!

My life's journey has shaped me into a helper. I love to watch people overcome! My work in various environments has shaped my approach to therapy. My passion is to help clients grow and learn to lead healthy and stable lives as they navigate this ever-changing world.

My goals for you

Goal setting with clients is all about working together to define what you want to accomplish in our time together. This often starts by building trust between us and getting comfortable with what it means to be in therapy. Over time, we will work together to set goals and track your progress.

Our first session

The first session is about us building an initial connection and helping me get a sense of where we should go from there. Each individual is different, and I like to listen first before assuming I know what will work best for you moving forward. From there, we will work at the client's pace.
