My focus

I specialize in helping clients heal from emotional, physical, sexual, and religious trauma. I address negative core beliefs and core wounds holding you back. I welcome LGBTQIA+ individuals and families as an ally. I have experience with families impacted by sexual abuse or problematic sexual behaviors.

My approach

I follow a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach. When appropriate, I incorporate EMDR to address trauma and negative inner core beliefs that hold you back from healthier living.

My journey to mental healthcare

I became interested in therapy as a teen, wanting to help children and youth in the system. Through my work, I've learned about mental illness, caretaker stress, and family reunification after abuse. After training in EMDR, I became passionate about using it to treat internal perceptions and core wounds that hold people back from living fully.

I believe it's important that you share your hopes for your healing journey. Together we'll set goals at the first session, revisit them to check progress, and adjust our focus as needed.

Our first session

At our initial session, I'll review confidentiality and intake paperwork to understand what brought you to treatment. I'll ask what you hope to get out of therapy and any specific goals you have. We'll discuss and create a plan for our time together.
