Hi there, I'm Sammy!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and I am licensed in Oregon, West Virginia, FL, TN, and California. My approach to therapy is to create a safe and non-judgmental environment for all of my clients, no matter their experiences.

My focus

I have worked primarily with adults and teenagers in my career, who have struggled with anxiety and depression, family trauma, relationship problems, stress, and other severe mental illnesses.

My approach

CBT is a cornerstone of mental health treatment and the forerunner of many newer modalities. Thoughts, feelings, and actions make sense to us all, and these will be the foundations of our approach.

My purpose is to help clients achieve success in their lives by my philosophy: "I'll always help if you'll always try".

My journey to mental healthcare

Like many, my childhood was not a great one, and when choosing a career, I knew it would be in a helping profession. I have strived to be a buffer for my clients, like those who were buffers in my own childhood.

Goal-setting is collaborative, fluid, and reasonable. An open dialogue between the client and me.
