My communication style

I allow the client to set the tone of the session...to an extent. I challenge clients to work on things outside of therapy and move towards bettering their lives. Clients often can make excuses as to why they can't change, so I use motivation to show them why they can.

My journey to mental healthcare

Watching clients improve their current lives and realizing they have more potential than they thought they did. Helping a client make better decisions and meet goals or change thought processes using CBT/DBT therapy. Watching the client have joy brings me joy.

My goals for you

I use the miracle question and discuss barriers to the dream. Then, I use solution-focused therapy to break down the dream or whatever goal the client has into attainable goals and teach the client how to celebrate victories along the way.

Our first session

A getting-to-know-you session. Often, I like to get a history and find out what the client expects from therapy.
