My focus

My ideal client is someone interested in putting in work to reach desired outcomes. I expect openness and honesty, though I understand that takes time as we build trust. Everyone is unique with different issues, and I enjoy tailoring treatment to each individual. I am not currently accepting couples or family clients at this time.

My approach

My approach is down-to-earth and collaborative. I don't tell you what to do—we work as a team toward wellness. I start with relationship building so we can get to know each other before delving into the hard work. Then we discuss your goals and create a plan to help you reach them.

My communication style

I have a down-to-earth, non-judgmental style and treat everyone with respect. People tell me they feel comfortable and unjudged talking to me. I'm also direct—I pay attention to body language and non-verbal cues, and will address any anxiety or discomfort so we can work together to make the process feel safe.

My journey to mental healthcare

I was drawn to therapy because I love helping people. My whole life, I've been someone others come to with their problems. I've worked in helping professions my entire adult life.

My goals for you

Treatment goals are set by you, not by me. My goal is to help you reach your own goals. Once goals are set, we work together—trying new skills, communication styles, and maybe stepping out of your comfort zone to try something new.

Our first session

A first session with me is primarily about starting to build a relationship. Let's get to know one another a little first. I then gather information, and we identify areas needing focus and create specific goals for you and how we will build and strengthen your relationships. I look forward to meeting you!
