My communication style

I will ask a lot of questions, so you have the opportunity to elaborate about the reasons you are seeking the help of a therapist and how you view life, so you felt seen. I view my questions as directions to the truth about oneself and directions to where one may need to go. I will also provide direct communication when needed.

My journey to mental healthcare

I became a psychotherapist after pursuing other vocational interests in life that I determined were not my ture interest or calling. The calling to become a psychotherapist occured when I encountered other therapists in a professional setting and pursued the study of psychology and personality development and found myself deeply moved towards this.

My goals for you

I liken it to coming into the office with a heavy backpack that is burdensome. There, we begin to unpack it. Some things are left at the office, and other things are rearranged to fit better. Either way, the client leaves the office feeling lighter and more hopeful about addressing the problems that brought them to the appointment.

Our first session

In the first session, I will ask a lot of questions so you have the opportunity to elaborate about the reasons you are seeking the help of a therapist. Clients often find this experience very helpful as they are able to unload some of the weight they have been carrying around for a while.
