My communication style

I am an active listener and see myself as a team player with my clients. I make patients feel like an essential part of their treatment because they truly are. I dedicate time to teaching them so they can make informed decisions about their care.

My journey to mental healthcare

From a very young age, I knew that I wanted to care for people. My passion for nursing began while I was taking care of my grandmother, who suffered from Alzheimer's. Additionally, my interest in psychiatry stems from growing up in Nigeria, where mental illness was often stigmatized, hidden, and shamed.

I encourage patients to adhere to their medication, without judgment for any missed doses.
