My communication style

I have a warm and inviting communication style. I will ask questions, actively listen, and clarify if I am not understanding. I prefer using stories and metaphors versus confusing clinical language. I try to use humor when appropriate and will always be patient with you.

My journey to mental healthcare

I fell in love with Social Work and have always felt a calling to help others. My diverse background includes child welfare, domestic violence survivor programs, emergency departments, and psychiatric hospitals, making me a holistic provider.

My goals for you

Therapy is all about you. You may have goals in mind, and we can jump right in. If you aren't sure what your goal is, I will ask questions to gain understanding about what you've experienced and how you would like to move forward. I will always prefer to hear about how you're feeling in your own words.

Our first session

During our time together, I will go over a brief introduction, review confidentiality, and ask lots of questions to get to know you. Whether you are brand new to seeking therapy or more seasoned, I want to make you feel as comfortable as possible. If you feel that we are a good match, we can schedule a follow-up session.
