Hi there, I'm Angi!

I hold a Baccalaureate degree (BA) in Communications from Stephen F. Austin State University and a Master’s degree (MS) in Counseling from the University of Houston, Clear Lake. My formal education and professional experiences have prepared me to counsel individuals, families, and groups.

My focus

I work with adults, teens, and couples. I have extensive experience with adolescents and have been supporting individuals and couples in developing the skills they need to experience the lives they desire.

My approach

I use a multi-faceted approach that includes person-centered and solution-focused therapy. Together, we'll help you acquire skills to overcome obstacles from the past, develop coping strategies, and move forward toward your personal goals.

I communicate with care, respect, honesty, and transparency. I value the therapeutic relationship deeply and work to nurture it. I view you with unconditional positive regard and focus on helping you resolve issues and develop healthy communication and coping skills.

My journey to mental healthcare

I've always had a passion for helping people. I find it especially rewarding to work with couples, teaching them how to resolve relationship issues. Hearing that I've helped improve a client's perspective or quality of life is deeply fulfilling to me.

In our first session, I get to know you and hold space for you to share what issues you need help navigating. We'll talk through your personal goals, and together we'll come up with a focus for our work.
