Hi there, I'm Ginka!

I work with families, couples, and adolescents facing a range of challenges. I have extensive experience helping adolescents with dual diagnosis and substance use, as well as couples and families who struggle with communication and emotion regulation. I provide services in English, Spanish, and Bulgarian.

I work alongside you to discover what works best for achieving your goals. I use collaborative practices, narrative therapy, solution-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing. With couples, I draw on emotionally-focused therapy and Gottman's approach to help you strengthen your relationship.

My journey to mental healthcare

My decision to become a therapist was gradual. After working with adolescents for many years, I pursued further education to better understand them. Completing my therapy training confirmed I had chosen the right path. Being a therapist is not just a career for me—it's a way of life.

Our first session

The first session is slightly different as I gather history and information about recurring issues that brought you to therapy. I look at the complete picture through family systems and relationships, and I help you come up with a goal for our work together from the very first time we meet.
