Hi there, I'm Melodie!

My counseling philosophy is about being genuine, accepting, and offering unconditional positive regard. I believe everyone deserves a safe space to express themselves and explore who they are without judgment.

My focus

I work with individuals of all ages who may be carrying heavy burdens and aren’t quite sure what to do with them. These challenges might come from childhood trauma, ongoing anxiety, or major life transitions that can gradually wear down self-esteem and confidence.

My approach

I take an integrative approach to therapy, which means I pull from different methods to best support where you are right now and where you want to grow. I use tools from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy.

My communication style

I prioritize authenticity and strive to create a safe, welcoming space built on open, nonjudgmental communication. In our sessions, I take the time to truly listen to your story and experiences, honoring both the pain and the joy you bring into the room.

My journey to mental healthcare

I was drawn to this field through my own life experiences and the challenges I’ve overcome. After being critically injured in a car accident, I found myself on the other side of the therapy room.

I use a solution-focused approach to help you envision the outcome you would like to move toward. Rather than staying stuck in the problem, we work together to create a clear picture of what “better” looks like for you, whether that’s feeling more at peace, improving relationships, or gaining confidence in daily life.

In our first session, my priority is to create a sense of safety and comfort so that you feel at ease as we begin working together. We’ll take time to explore your story, your reasons for seeking therapy, and what you hope to gain from this process.
