Hi there, I'm Lawrence!

I bring over three decades of clinical experience helping people from all walks of life. My background includes fitness, athletics, and substance abuse treatment. I embrace an in-the-trenches approach and believe leadership is a conscious decision made moment to moment.

My focus

I work with adults aged 18 through 50 from all walks of life and diagnoses. I do especially well with athletes, military members, those preparing for competition, and clients working through substance abuse challenges.

I tailor my approach to each client's needs, context, and preferences. I integrate different therapeutic methods to create a holistic and individualized treatment plan that works for you.

I create an environment of openness and honesty. I establish rapport by sharing my own history and encouraging you to be totally transparent in your presentation. Our work together is confidential and non-judgmental.

My journey to mental healthcare

Growing up in inner-city Houston, I witnessed the pain of individuals struggling with drugs, alcohol, and mental health issues. I decided then to focus my life on helping people up rather than pushing them down, which led me to study psychology and social work.
