My communication style

Clients have told me that I provide a safe space. I am pretty laid back, but I will also hold a difficult conversation and address trauma when it's the right time. I teach strategies to calm the nervous system before going into trauma in-depth.

My journey to mental healthcare

I love working with people in crisis. Trauma is my passion, and I have spent the past two decades learning what trauma does to the brain, body, and behaviors, and how to treat trauma.

My goals for you

I use the collaborative care approach. I want the input of my clients. We will talk about what works and doesn't work for you so that we can adjust to your needs.

Our first session

The first session is information gathering. There are some questions I absolutely have to ask, such as previous care and medical history. Beyond that, it's a time to start to get to know one another.
